PHoto Challenge - B & W Landscape

Here is my entry for the B& W Landscapes photo Challenge...I haven't entered one for awhile.    The surf and the bird were calling to me to photograph them...so here you go!  Here is the link to this particular photo challenge: B & W Landscapes

The one lone bird really sets the scale as well as the tone for this shot.  The wave crashing gives it a bit of motion and drama.  Great job!!

Maria~Equisite! This one's a winner. I can't help but want to see it in color too though. Glad you stopped by so I could put you on my alerts again. Instead of the scanner I'm getting the photo CDs now to upload; I like the scanner better I'm finding because I could show larger views. What I can do with the CD editor dosen't do my photos justice! From one photo lover to another, have a blessed weekend, Deborah ;-)

Part 2-LOL- forgot to say that the imposing black rock may just be best in B&W for the mood of this photo. Rare of me to prefer B&W. Also since the egret is naturally white that adds something too. I just love this one. Deb ;-)

Having browsed your photos I found your color shots to be excellent, especially the one of your daughter with the family dog.    The B/W of the bird and the ocean with the jutting rock is spectacular.   It has everything you could ask for in a compostion.    If Ansel Adams were doing it, he would be getting every bit of fine detail out of the rock structure through post processing.     I think it has such great detail.   mark

I had to jog myself out of my reverie, I was absolutely enjoying staring at this photo. I could almost hear the waves crashing against the shore. Absolutely beautifully serene. (Hugs) Indigo

Wow!  So much to see here.  I usually equate black and white with a very still shot....this one is VERY unique.  I love it.
