Easter also means Lilies....

Lilies are very fragrant and sometimes lively colors as is evidenced by the photos below from a couple of websites which sell flowers..I thought they were very nice...one is 1-800-flowers and the other is Hallmark.  They are an Easter staple although usually the white kind....the pink orientals are also quite nice...    Can't forget a little kitty lily that Donna made...for fun!  ( http://journals.aol.com/nightmaremom/Thisandthatandhockey/

More perspectives on Easter eggs

Hello out there!  These little things that follow may make you laugh and smile and that is good.  I got these in an email a little while ago.  The carvings are done with a laser I believe and the colorful egg is another one from Donna..  http://journals.aol.com/nightmaremom/Thisandthatandhockey/

Angel and Baby Statue Perspectives

Hello all!  Sorry I haven't written anything for a week!  That's a long time.  I've been busy with work, taxes and trying to figure out how to get some remodeling done on our house.  I can't believe it's almost Easter and I haven't taken any Easter pictures to post yet....I love this time of year...I will catch up.

In the meantime I thought some of you might like to see the difference that perspective makes when taking a photo.  When I took the photo of the angel and baby below straight on it looked like the angel was looking at me...when I took it from slightly above it looked like the angel was looking at the baby.  Amazingly,  it's the same statue.  So watch what you see out there...it may not always be what you think.   :)

Tortugas or Turtles

Oh, I guess I am on a roll....here are two more pictures about my Ixtapa experience.  They had a conservation program there for turtles and one of the hotels had a little bin where turtle eggs were hatched. Then the little turtles were released throughout the weeks in late afternoon into the sea. Usually a group experience.  If you were wondering...the first picture is a cute sign about keeping the area clean....

The second picture is of a baby turtle or ,tortuga in Spanish, that the attendant brought out for me to take and release into the ocean on the beach.  It was so cute.  Usually they release more at a time but I guess I came on the wrong day.   We walked to the water and I laid the little squirt on the sand..it crawled it's way into the waves and swam away.  There were no birds around at that time so I'm hoping it did OK....lots of eggs are laid by the mommy turtles on the beaches at night during this time of year and then they swim off...talk about abandonment...I was so taken by this I came back the next day and helped release three more...but had used up all my digital photo space...however I did get them on my camcorder.

A few Beach scenes

A few more beach scenes...I think I found a new meditation place....two chairs on the beach..one with me and one with a friend just gazing out to sea...to see what we can see.  Soaking up the sun, watching the sea life, the boats and the sparkling water...sound good?
