Rainbow roses on a sunny day

Preview

It was such sunny beautiful day today....I had to post a rainbow entry...even though I know you need rain for a rainbow.   I had these nice pictures of some rainbow roses...OK...they aren't striped...just a bouquet of all different colors..bright like a rainbow.   What do you think?  I smile whenever I see them and think of rainbows in the sky.    Hope all had a great weekend ..looking forward to a great week.  Tomorrow night I get to go to a Mariners game....even though they may be out of the running for the championships I sure like going to their games...the open air stadium is the best!. Later...:)   Maria

Kitties, Tea and Flowers

Hello, all!  I thought it was time for another flower entry to brighten the day!...and I also found this great animated Kitties and tea graphic from Donna.  Let's just all have some tea and admire the flowers.   You can always subsitute coffee for tea but the idea is the same....I do like sitting, sipping and chatting....with beautiful flowers all around me.  How about you?

Also, I just went in and cleaned out all my email from 2005 that I forgot I had saved on my AOL email folder...wow what a difference it made with my speed and use of AOL...so if you are having problems with AOL you might want to check your saved emails...and delete them where possible.....Maria  :)

2006 Seattle 3 Day Cancer Walk Tribute - Finally!

PreviewPreviewPreviewPreview

Finally!  I've gotten around to doing my tribute to this year's Seattle 2006 3 Day Cancer Walkers.

I made a little music photo collage..it's short but I think you will like it ..give it a chance to load this link....2006 Cancer 3Day Cheering Station   :)

I was able to get to a cheering station and took a few photos of some friends.  Wow, brought back memories from last year when I did the walk in 2005. I knew what they must be feeling.   It is an emotional and soul lifting experience.  Thanks to all who walked from a walking 2 time survivor!  I really appreciate it and so do all the others...we will find a cure!!!!!

Late Summer Blooms

Preview   Hello all!  Happy Friday!  Daisies and flowers that are like them are so handy for making decisions...don't you think?   The flowers blooming here now are more in the oranges and yellow colors.   It is late summer and the weather is cooling down.  A change of seasons is occurring right before our eyes.  It is awakening some long forgotten desires in me to see pumpkins and to drive through the mountains as the leaves on the trees change to seas of golden yellow and sierra orange...brightly lit on those sunny days when they reflect the light before they fall to the ground.   Although Summer is ending, what a great season we are beginning.  This is the kind of change that is good for us....different views of the same place.  Growth, renewal and change. Farewell, Summer, until we meet again, I'll miss you....just a few more days we can enjoy the arrival of your cousin Autumn!  Maria

Invitation to feathered friends

Preview

Bird water fountains are such nice invitations to our feathered friends.  Cool water for them to drink and rest.  A place of refuge from a hot day to soothe a parched throat or clear the palate for the next meal.   Although there are no birds in these photos I know that in the early mornings or late evenings they are there....where there is water they come.    Sometimes I think journals are like water fountains.  A place to visit to get some soothing refreshment for the soul.  I love to stop by and visit other journals and get so inspired.....sometimes it's late at night or early morning...weekends it could be midday...I find it is like a refuge, a place to rest and smile.....whenever I want.   Then  I get an inspiration and I find myself happily writing an entry of my own!  Monday's journals for the 9/11 tributes were very inspiring and thoughtful.   Yes, I had some real wonderful uplifting freshments for my soul.  Thanks to all of you journalers for creating those water fountains for the soul!    Maria

Be Glad for each moment

Hello, all,    reflecting on this day of remembering what happened on 9/11 I thought to my self that it would be good to reflect and think of those who lost loved ones.  I have a couple of flags on my two prymadalis (spelling?) in the front yard in memory of that event. Thanks to Donna for her wonderful eagle flag:  DONNA's Journal

Also, just want to stop and just say how thankful I am for all that I have and that I woke up today glad for each moment.  Sometimes I get so caught up in what I don't have I lose perspective.  Today, I took time to just realize how thankful I am to live in this country and to just have another day of life!     Maria

Brilliant Day

Hi, all!   It's a Brilliant day out today here in Seattle...so bright it's hard to see without sunglasses.  I figured that meant it's a good time to post pics of some roses I thought were bright too!  Here are a couple from a friends yard...nope not mine.  The colors just seem to shine from a power source of a different world.  Hard to think these flowers are at the ends of thorny stems....I'll have to remember that when I'm dealing with brilliant people...LOL...;)
