Good morning all! Finally the sun is out and the greyness is gone! Seattle had a wet and gloomy memorial day weekend....so glad that's done! My hope is for a wonderful week full of beauty and magic! The purple rhody photos here are from the same plant just different angles. Reminds me of life...you get a different view depending on your perspective. Purple is often a color used for magic! Hope this little entry sends some magic your way...the magic of healing, smiling and beauty.
One more entry for Memorial day...we visited the Cemetary where my husband's father and mother are buried. His dad was in the Navy and the flag was waving at his stone..there were lots of flags at the cemetary....makes you think about things...life, death, what's important.... Maria
It's time for the markets in Seattle again! The one in Ballard just north of downtown is one of my favorites. The other day I ran into a favorite booth of mine and got to talking with Marijo. I had such a good time hearing about her plans to eventually go fulltime that I wanted to do a tribute to her dreams and to her!
She not only designs and makes the jewelry, which is very unique, she also designs and builds the display stands. Her work is classy and she is always coming up with something new....her latest is the earrings...elegant and easy to wear..the closure just lays flat against the ring for an easy on and off!

Campbell Hill Garden is a little garden on the corner of a street that is maintained by donations. Last year I took pictures of it during a different time of year...it is always blooming. This year I was able to get photos now when the iris is blooming. It reminds me of those little vases with flowers for sale along country roads..only these are look but don't cut! Maria
It was a buttercup kind of day today..they hadn't mowed the grass for a few days where I work and what a magical surprise...little yellow buttercups growing everywhere - I was entranced and took a photo moment or two. The sun was shining and the buttercups were shining back! Guess letting the grass grow does have it's rewards at times.... Maria

The thing about clematis flowers is that they seem to just burst open over night....I'm partial to pink and purples ones as well as the white ones...they are easy to grow and survive major cutbacks....it is a reminder to me of beauty and strength at the same time! Maria
Sunset shots from Long Beach from the Hyatt Hotel and a walk around the place one night while I was there on Business. The little mall had a carnival theme with a working ferris wheel and a bridge that looked like a roller coaster from a distance. Fun! Maria :)
Good morning. It's an abolutely gorgeous day here in Seattle!...however, I have a couple of Long Beach, California pics to share...pink flowers by the curb. Interestingly, when you look close you will see little X's in the center of the flowers. I guess X marked the spot!

Hello all! Here is a stained glass window I started in 2002...it's finally finished! Just figured that I'd have someone else finish it. I had cut out all the pieces and had most of them prepared to get soldered together and then I set it aside. I promised myself it would get finished...I'm so glad that I accomplished that mission.
Little things like old projects laying around can be so uplifting when they are done! Maria

I finally got my pictures reloaded...the first is a before picture of some flower pots that were neglected and the after is a more streamlined look! I moved one of the angels to another spot..they are pretty cool and turn on at night like a little deck night light...it's been too cold to be out later at night with them on...but soon!

Happy MayDay to everyone! I started working on my garden over the weekend and the flower pots on the deck...took some before photos...the weather is a little sporadic here right now...rains one day and shines the next...that's Seattle in May. Lots of pretty flowers and beautiful green grass.
