Entering another phase - yes that is a go kart...need I say more?
Roller blading in Seattle! I've been wanting to roller blade for weeks. Finally I got a helmit and did it! (Ok, maybe you'll see the skates in another photo later...;). The Alki Shoreline in West Seattle is abolutely wonderful and I couldn't resist taking pictures of downtown Seattle across Puget Sound from Alki.....my friend rented her skates and I brought mine along. We had blackened halibut with a ceasur salad and shrimp coctail...it was great!
Amazing what two very fast airplanes can do together. Poetry in the sky of course!
I haven't played this game for awhile...here were the instructions from John Scalzi! Your Monday Photo Shoot: Take a picture of two of something. Two of what? I leave that to you. But they have to be of the same type of thing. Don't just put, like a cookie and a Hot Wheel in the same picture and say it counts as two things. Two cookies, two Hot Wheels. You know. Double your pleasure and all that.
-John Scalzi
Took a little trip to the waterfront with my Ron.....we had a walk, did some sightseeing and had dinner...steamer clams and fish tacos at the waterfront in downtown Seattle......We love watching the water sparkle! Gives us that effervescent feeling. Maybe you can feel it too!
I have accomplished the impossible! With my friend's help we tackled the easy stuff...on the floor and surface tops. Wow, I had so many boxes and papers and junk to get rid of I was shocked. She helped me by keeping me focused and after she left within about 2 hours I kept going. I kept thinking what could go and where things would go. So I got the floor and surface areas to where now I don't have junk in the window anymore. This was amazing. I know I still have the shelves and a little more to do on the floors but now at least that great wood floor shines through...there is room to almost dance in here....I think I just might..it's my little triumph for the weekend!
These are some photos from a setting up in the mountains near Mt. Si. Actually was the backdrop for a company picnic. After l downloaded them I realized how therapuetic they are! Calming and relaxing....just the thing to get me in the mood for cleaning that clutter. I'm walking this morning for an hour or two with my friend Kar and then will begin the process! Enjoy the scenery and think fresh, clean and uncluttered! :)
It really is time to do something about all my clutter in my little craft and computer room...gads! Things are just falling off the shelves and every surface is covered. These are some before pictures...seems like this just happened little by little but it's not so little anymore. My friend, Kar, has offered to help me get back into normal. I'm pumped. Yes, it's out of control but I have hope. I'm a maniac when it comes to keeping papers and things for later ideas. That kind of madness is obssessive but somehow it is also comforting in a way...I can get lost in the room as it is but it sure is unproductive. Yeah I can find things when I need them but not always right away. I am envisioning a wonderfully accessible room full of wonderfully organized great ideas and places to get things done!.....more to come.. :)
Sometimes it's nice to just sit back and enjoy the sunrise with a little coffee. It's been warm here in Seattle the last few days....in the 80's and that's unusual. Yesterday cooled down quite a bit and it rained a little this morning...so we are in the 60's right now...what a swing in temperature. Long range forecast is for more of the 80's after today. Just thinking about how the summer is going by so fast.....but there is still time to enjoy!
Here is a little something to think about...while in the course of trying to figure out my FTP space I learned how to upload an image there! Yay...however, I still can't get the hang of uploading it to my journal entry like so many of you out there! So here I am again with a surprise crossstitch that I like! and a Haiku - 17 syllables in one minute....:)

Wow, it's Thursday and I haven't made an entry since Sunday so here is one that is sure to please. Bunnies! I took time for an hour walk yesterday in my neighborhood and was glad I had my camera...check it out....I found these three bunnies just laying around a church parking lot...noone was around so I don't know why they were there. I just took a couple of shots and they scurried here and there. The one with the bunnie standing was the fuzziest but I love it..reminds me of Peter Cottontail. :)
Action from the water and a little view from the land too! The young driver of the Graham Trucking hydro, J. Michael Kelly , competed with my husband in the outboards....limiteds a few years ago...great to see someone like him in the competition...his boat died in the water after winning the first heat today so not sure what will happen by the finals.
I absolutely, undeniably, most assuredly LOVE Seafair. The Blue Angels and the Hydros....more tommorrow. See the website: www.seafair.com
Should have mentioned that these pics are from last year...Seafair is this weekend: Aug. 5,6, & 7, 2005 :)
The round robin challenge for this Wed. is Oasis. I have to say that my back deck is one of my Oasis's..... I love to sit by the hot tub..not necessarily in it...or swing in the chair or just sit down and have a cup of coffee with someone on the corner. The sunrises and sunsets turn the skies orange and pink and it's a great place to write or read or just daydream.
Some others from the challenge to look at!
